Background in sports: Fitness, spinning

What WOD/class made you decide to become a CrossFitter?

5 rounds for time: 800 m running, 25 box jumps, 25 thrusters. My first WOD – couldn’t walk 4 days after….. And I was hooked!

How often do you train now ?

4-5 x pr. week.

Do you follow any speciel programming or are you (just) doing the WODs at your box?

I follow the WODs at CrossFit Copenhagen 🙂

Which one of your CrossFit related accomplishments are you most proud off so far?

Finally to be able to do pull-ups and keep the skin on my hands.

What is your next goal(s)?
To be able to RX more and more WODs – and to focus on proper technique…..

The most difficult thing in CrossFit?

The technique in the lifts and to plan your energy right in the WODs in order to be able to finish and RX 🙂

How do you keep the motivation high?

The social aspect on the famous the 7 o’ clock “Morning Team”. And the fact than I am able to RX more and more WODs.

Any good advice for new CrossFitters?

Keep track of your WOD results from day 1 in order to be able to track development. You easily forget the level you started at.
Train with somebody better than you and try to follow them the best you can.
Find someone on the whiteboard to compare results with.

Any questions for the community ? (this is your chance to ask experienced CrossFitters anything!)
How do I plan my daily training in order to train the smartest?
(“Don’t train harder, train smarter”.)

Do you plan to attend any CrossFit competitions?
No, not at the moment. I still have to be able to perform a lot of WODs RX’ed before I enter any competition.

What WOD/class made you decide to become a CrossFitter?

My good friend, Kim Poulsen, and fellow Powerlifter at that time, introduced me to CrossFit.  The versatility you get is what appeals to me.

How often do you train now?

I take 4-5 crossfit classes a week and do some running on the side. But I have CrossFit as the highest priority.

Do you follow any special programming or are you (just) doing the WODs at your box?

I do the WOD at my box, but I think I need a more weakness specific program.

Which one of your CrossFit related accomplishments are you most proud off so far?

Tough one. I don’t think I have accomplished any major things (yet).

What is your next goal(s)?

The Fit As Fu*k CrossFit Challenge the 25th of September. YEAH!

The most difficult thing in CrossFit?

To keep on going, harder, faster, tougher, stronger!

How do you keep the motivation high?

By wanting to be among the best 🙂

Any good advice for new CrossFitters?

Set some goals. A achieve them!

Any questions for the community ? (this is your chance to ask experienced Cross Fitters anything!)

How does your training schedule look like? Do you have a weakness day, heavy lifting day, technique day and so on? How much cardio do you do on the side?

Do you plan to attend any CrossFit competitions?

Fit As Fu*k CrossFit Challenge 25. September 2010 @ CTC, Køge!

What WOD/class made you decide to become a CrossFitter?
A friend of mine started to do CrossFit a year ago. Since I was very curios about it, I attended an intro workout in Butcher’s Lab. I signed up right after.

How often do you train now ?
Around 3 times a week. Often I can’t make it to Butcher’s Lab, then I do some kind of WOD at home.

Do you follow any speciel programming or are you (just) doing the WODs at your box?
I am just enjoying the WODs without having to think so much about what I’m doing. With that said, I still do OpenGym quite often. I love heavy lifting too much to only be doing straight CrossFit. Furthermore, I do a lot of ringt raining. Actually that is where my focus is right now.

Which one of your CrossFit related accomplishments are you most proud off so far?
Hmm that’s a hard one. I guess to have been able to do all the WODs Rx’d up till now.
Or perhaps nailing the muscle up in second attempt.

What is your next goal(s)?
To be able to hold a perfect front lever in the rings and to do a solid onearm pull-up. (almost there!). On a longer run to be able to do good in competitions.

The most difficult thing in CrossFit ?
My technique still sucks when doing kipping pull-ups.

How do you keep the motivation high?
Whenever I see better crossfitters, I get motivated. Being a spectator at the Danish Crossfit Open was also very inspiring.

Any good advice for new CrossFitters?
Learn the proper technique for every CrossFit exercise as soon as possible. When doing CrossFit the intensity is very high, therefore it is of absolute importance that your form is close to perfect. If not, you will get injured.
Give it all you got, but don’t forget to listen to your body. If your body really hurts then don’t continue. Simple, but often forgotten.

Do you plan to attend any CrossFit competitions?
YES! I have signed up for the FIT AS FU*K CROSSFIT CHALLENGE 25. September in Køge.
